The Arbors - The Arbors' higher elevation in Summerlin delivers unparalleled city views. Stretching across nearly 1,300 acres, The Arbors is a mixed-use residential village that includes single- and multi-family home neighborhoods. The village is home to several schools: Palo Verde High School and the Bob and Sandy Miller High Tech Center at Summerlin � a mini campus of the Community College of Southern Nevada, Sig Rogich Middle School and Ethel L. Staton Elementary School. Creative Kids daycare center is also located in The Arbors.
The Canyons - The Canyons is a high-end residential village featuring a diverse range of home styles, including single-family, multi-family, custom and apartment homes. The village is centered around the Tournament Players Club at The Canyons, Summerlin's second TPC golf course that features ruggedly dramatic topography with unparalleled mountain and city views. This 18-hole championship course is open to the public.
The Crossing -The Crossing is the hub of Summerlin's current business and commercial activity and is home to the 115-acre Crossing Business Center that will ultimately accommodate approximately 1.2 million square feet of business facilities. The 540-acre mixed-use village is bounded by Summerlin Parkway, Town Center Drive and Anasazi Drive and includes a variety of single- and multi-family neighborhoods as well as luxury apartments. The Crossing is also home to the John W. Bonner Elementary School, a fire station and Summerlin Hospital Medical Center, a top-notch medical facility that includes almost 170 beds and has more than 1,100 physicians on staff.
The Gardens - The Gardens is a 410-acre mixed-use residential and commercial village with a garden-like setting. Its mix of single- and multi-family residential neighborhoods is grouped around a central loop road and park with retail and employment centers located nearby along Desert Inn Road and the Western Beltway. Alexander Dawson School at Rainbow Mountain, a private school offering a rigorous traditional liberal arts program for kindergarten to grade 8 calls The Gardens home. The 20-acre Gardens Park is the core of the village and is divided into three distinct areas: an active play area that features court games such as basketball and tennis; a community center area with community gardens and facilities for passive adult uses, such as horseshoes, bocce and shuffleboard; and a large open lawn area that can be used for organized events or informal activities. The Gardens Village Center, a neighborhood shopping center, is being planned for the northeast corner of the Beltway and Town Center Drive and is expected to offer a grocery and drug store, gas station and convenience store, and retail shops as well as fast-food restaurants.
The Hills - Summerlin's first village, The Hills, is an almost 400-acre residential village featuring single- and multi-family neighborhoods. It is known for its stunning double tree-lined streets that have set the standard for landscaping throughout Summerlin. The Hills Park quickly evolved into one of Las Vegas' favorite outdoor special event venues because of its open-lawn amphitheater and stage. The park also features two lighted tennis courts, a sand volleyball court, half-court basketball, spray fountains, picnic pavilions and ramadas and a children�s playground. This active recreation center is owned, maintained, programmed and operated by the City of Las Vegas. The Hills features the Howard Hughes Educational Park which consists of two public schools: William R. Lummis Elementary School and Ernest A. Becker, Sr. Middle School. The Hills is also home to the Milton I. Schwartz Hebrew Academy, a private school for kindergarten through grade 8.
The Hills South -This over 700-acre high-end, mixed-use village features single- and multi-family neighborhoods and the two custom home neighborhoods of Tournament Hills and Eagle Hills. The Hills South is home to the Tournament Players Club at Summerlin, Nevada's first TPC course and host of the Invensys Classic at Las Vegas, an annual PGA TOUR event. Summerlin�s cultural cornerstone is at the heart of The Hills South and includes the Summerlin Library and Performing Arts Center along with the Donald W. Reynolds Cultural Center, home of Nevada Ballet Theatre, the state's only professional ballet company. The Donald W. Reynolds Foundation, one of the largest philanthropic organizations in the Western United States, is headquartered in The Hills South, as are several Class A office facilities, including the Las Vegas Dental Institute and Summerlin Financial Group.
The Paseos - The Paseos (Village 23A) in Summerlin is a 375-acre residential village west of the I-215 beltway bounded by Alta Drive to the north, Desert Foothills Drive to the east, and Charleston Boulevard to the south (the western boundary road has not yet been named). Plans for the village include parcels that will feature both single-and multi-family homes along with an elementary school site. An almost 20-acre community park may include two junior soccer fields and two tee-ball fields as well as sand volleyball courts, a basketball court, a tot lot and children�s play area, picnic pavilions and open turf areas. The park is located at the center of the village and can be reached by pedestrians via a linear paseo park that traverses the village from north to south. Architecture in The Paseos draws its inspiration from the Hacienda and Mission styles. The Hacienda/Mission styles will be represented through the use of portals, arches, arcades, and outdoor living spaces such as miradors, loggias, courtyards and front porches.
The Pueblo -The Pueblo is a mixed-use residential village best known for its almost 62-acre linear park that offers walkers, joggers and cyclists some of the most beautiful desert scenery in Southern Nevada. In addition to multiple trails, The Pueblo Park includes a desert interpretive garden, a basketball court, and two active play areas. The Pueblo Park is currently owned, maintained, programmed and operated by the City of Las Vegas. A 570-acre village, The Pueblo features single- and multi-family neighborhoods and is home to three schools: The Meadows School, a private, nonprofit pre-school, elementary and secondary college preparatory school, Richard H. Bryan Elementary School, and St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic School.
Redrock Country Club - Red Rock Country Club is a 735-acre village being developed by Sunrise Colony Company. The luxury, executive and custom home community is guard-gated and features two 18-hole championship Arnold Palmer-designed golf courses (the second is currently under construction). Red Rock Country Club�s 42,000 square foot clubhouse with a fitness facility, tennis center, and aquatic center is adjacent to the Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area and overlooks the entire Las Vegas valley.
Ridgebrook - Ridgebrook is a unique and intimate 100-acre mini-village located off Desert Inn Road and the Western Beltway. This small neighborhood features a six-acre park surrounded by 4 single-family neighborhoods. Ridgebrook Park has a lighted tennis court, basketball court, picnic pavilion, children�s play area and interactive water play area. The Judy and John L. Goolsby Elementary School will be located at the northern edge of the village and is expected to be open for the 2004-2005 school year.
The Ridges - Poised to become one of the most exclusive golf meccas in the Southwest, The Ridges is a guard-gated community of custom and luxury home neighborhoods nestled alongside the Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area. It is located south of Desert Inn Road and west of Flamingo Road. With its breathtaking mountain, valley and city views, The Ridges offers an incredible environment heavily rooted in a sophisticated desert architectural motif. At an elevation of over 3,200 feet, The Ridges creates beautiful living environments while maintaining a very natural setting. The neighborhoods at The Ridges are being created to complement the land rather than overtake it. The Ridges features legendary golfer Jack Nicklaus' Bear's Best Las Vegas golf course, which showcases many of the fabulous holes from Nicklaus' desert-themed courses throughout the western United States and Mexico. The course was developed by ClubCorp, Inc. and Golden Bear International and winds throughout the entire community. The Ridges is currently home to four custom neighborhoods, Promontory, Arrowhead, Rimrock and Redhawk, as well as Topaz Ridge, a luxury home neighborhood built by William Lyon Homes.
Siena - Siena is a 667-acre age qualified community being developed by Sunrise Colony Company for individuals over the age of 55. The village will ultimately feature approximately 2,000 luxury single-story homes and villas. Siena exemplifies the best in resort living! It is a guard-gated community surrounding an 18-hole championship golf course designed by Schmidt-Curley of Scottsdale, Arizona. The community features a 15,000 square foot Golf Clubhouse with Siena Bistro, and Lake Siena, a quarter-mile man-made water feature with 40-foot cascading waterfalls is a focal point near the community�s impressive entry. The 39,000-square-foot Village Community Center is the hub for social and club activities. At its center is a 7,200 square foot grand ballroom and stage as well as nearly 9,000 square feet of arts and crafts space, meeting rooms, library, business center, computer lab, and billiards and card rooms.
Summerlin Centre - Summerlin Centre is proposed as Summerlin�s �town center.� It is a new and unique blend of the urban and suburban, the traditional and contemporary, the quaint and the cosmopolitan. Designed to be a vibrant and influential social hub, Summerlin Centre will strike a balance of residential and retail, offices and parks, recreation and schools. It will be a place where employment opportunities, great shopping, exciting dining and numerous cultural and recreational possibilities are all just footsteps from home. Whether it�s window shopping as you stroll through The Shops at Summerlin Centre, dining al fresco at your favorite neighborhood restaurant or bringing home fresh fruit from the Farmer�s Market, life at Summerlin Centre will be in the details. Summerlin Centre encompasses all of the land bounded by Sahara Avenue on its southerly and westerly sides, Charleston Boulevard and Cottonwood Canyon on the north and Hualapai Way on the east.
Sun City Summerlin - This community is 55+ age restricted and is for active adults that want a quite community. Sun City is located in the master planned community of Summerlin. Sun City Summerlin has many community features that include a golf course, pool, spa, exercise room, and other community facilities. Prices start in the 200's for townhomes. Single family homes are also available.
The Trails - The Trails is a "mixed use" village that features single- and multi-family neighborhoods as well as the two custom home neighborhoods of Mountain Trails and Desert Trails. This 573-acre village is home to The Trails Community Center and The Trails Park (featuring a community swimming pool, two lighted softball fields, one lighted baseball field) and home of Summerlin Little League. True to the village name, a linear park meanders through the village providing children�s play areas, lawn areas, shaded seating areas and miles of scenery for outdoor enthusiasts and fitness buffs. The Trails Village Center, located at the northwest corner of Village Center Circle and Trailwood Drive, is Summerlin's largest shopping center to date and serves as a popular community gathering spot. Its anchor stores are Vons and Longs Drug with approximately 50 retailers including Hallmark, Bath & Body Works, Radio Shack, Wells Fargo Bank, Starbucks, and McDonald's.
The Vistas - Situated just west of the Western Beltway, The Vistas is the first village within Summerlin's western region. This 815-acre village is a mixed-use residential village that includes single- and multi-family homes and luxury apartments. It is bordered on the west by Desert Foothills Drive and by Far Hills Avenue to the north. The Vistas will feature three parks owned and operated by the Summerlin Council. North Tower Park is almost 7 acres and is located on the northern edge of The Vistas. It features two children�s play areas, picnic and barbecue areas and open play areas. South Tower Park is currently in the planning stages but is expected to include children�s play areas, a spray basin, a picnic and barbecue area and an open play area. Both North Tower Park and South Tower Park will be anchored by 48-foot clock towers. The Vistas Park is also in the planning stages and will be approximately 23 acres in size. It may include a community center, lighted football field, lighted softball fields, lighted tennis courts, basketball courts, a group picnic pavilion, children�s play area, interactive water play area and restrooms.
The Willows - The Willows is a 731-acre residential village that offers a wide selection of housing options, including single- and multi-family homes, custom home neighborhoods and luxury apartments. The village has been developed around The Willows Park that features lighted baseball and little league fields, a lighted basketball court, children's play area and The Willows Community Center. One of the park's most popular attractions is the resort-style swimming pool with a beach entrance, two water slides and fountains. The pool is open exclusively to Summerlin residents and their guests. The Willows boasts two other parks: Willows Paseo Park, a linear park that connects the east and west sides of the village and that features four over-sized storybook sculptures from Aesop�s Fables. A portion of the paseo park between Town Center Drive and Spotted Leaf Lane is restricted to use of residents living in Willow Creek, a private, guard-gated community. This portion of the park includes two lighted tennis courts, a half basketball court, children�s play area and trails. Spotted Leaf Park is a 10-acre park that features two lighted tennis courts, two lighted soccer fields, a lighted basketball court and a children�s play area.
